INTRODUCTION

Hey, What’s up guys, I’m Brian and I love tech! Sony’s Audio has been in my life for a very long time. In fact, my first electronic was a “My First Sony Cassette-Corder TCM-4300” in the early nineties when I was only three years old. Ever since then I have been using Sony’s products especially their audio for music and gaming.

On that note, I’ll be doing my first review for IronTechReviews.com reviewing the Sony MDRXB50Ap Extra Bass In-ear Earbuds. It sells for a mere $30 dollars on Amazon but performs really well! The Sony MDRXB50AP Extra Bass Earbuds is Excellent for anyone who likes Good Sound Quality for a reasonable price on a budget. You can use the Sony MDRXB50APs for casual gaming, exercising, or listening to your favorite tracks for your daily commute and enjoying awesome Bass on the go!

STYLE / BUILD /COMFORT

Sony’s style is definitely no stranger in the electronic world known for their sleek and beautiful designs from their Televisions / Home Theater systems to all the way to their Vaio Computers. As for the Sony MDR-XB50AP Earbuds, I’d rate the designed look as simple for In-Ear Headphones.

The rubberized cord is a flat Y-type with a slider and its pretty long (3.94 ft) so I’d say for example, if you are a tall person like myself (6’4) in height you are good! I think the build quality for these earbuds is pretty solid!

Like I said, you can use the MDRXB50APs for working out, however, it isn’t specifically intended for athletic activities. Honestly, depending on what you’re doing I would not guarantee these would stay firmly on your ears unlike other earbuds designed for sports. Other than that, for normal casual use, these earbuds are really comfortable!

SOUND

According to Sony’s Specs, it does come with 0.47 in neodymium drivers for powerful, balanced sound and also with X-bass for that club style sound.

Honestly, I was initially impressed with the sound quality for its tier. The punchy bass is strong not overly done and I do feel like the 12mm dome driver does hit the bass harder than most cheap regular earbuds without having the drowned out loss of the mids and highs. Plus with these earbuds, I personally didn’t experience any ear piercing distortion in the highs on a higher volume.

Unfortunately, there aren’t any Noise Cancellation features for these earbuds.
